Choose a Therapist

YES, YOU CAN SHOP AROUND.

Connection, respect, trust and safety are vital qualities in any relationship, and should be the qualities you’re looking for when interviewing therapists.

It’s completely acceptable and encouraged that you interview several therapists before beginning your journey with one. Professional mental health providers will understand and respect your decision to consider your options before committing to therapy with them.

It is strongly suggested that you seek mental health care from a licensed mental health provider. The Seleni Institute has provided a good guide for how to approach the search for a therapist.
